CAD rendering of the retail podium

One of the key features of Saigon Pearl a new design for mixed development for the town centre is the forested courtyard, themed in collaboration with Jane Low's Surbana International design team based in Singapore and Vietnam. Truly one of the most unusual proposal for a retail project, this experience should make the project iconic. Two 32-storey prime residential towers connect at the top floors, on level 6 where the lounge and sky lobbies are located making this the new ground floor. From this level residents and shoppers enjoy dramatic high level views of the old city, and old river of Saigon, an incomparable design that gives residents public spaces that reconnect to the ground and the retail floors. Exclusive lounge floors have commanding views beyond the river.

The view here shows how the dramatic double volume of the drop off for the residential towers connects visually and physically to the beautifully landscaped central counrtyard [forest] of the adjoing and interlinked 5-storey retail podium. [first published 3rd November 2005]
